Tickets on sale for Day Out With Thomas at NC Transportation Museum

A Day Out With Thomas is returning to the N.C. Transportation Museum this fall. The state museum is in Spencer, about two hours from Raleigh near Charlotte.

This very popular event for fans of all things Thomas the Tank Engine is scheduled for Sept. 24 to Sept. 26 and Oct. 1 to Oct. 3.

According to the museum's website, the event includes a 25-minute ride aboard a real train with Thomas.

"Say hello to Sir Topham Hatt, stop in the party corner for lawn game fun, have a blast in the bubble zone and check out the gift shop for exclusive Thomas swag," the website says. "We’re back on track for delivering fun and memories across the United States."

Capacity will be limited, however, and advance tickets are encouraged. A Percy train also will be on site, running on the same schedule as the Thomas train. Visitors can add on tickets to ride with Percy too, just know that they are "extremely limited," according to the website.
