Three Millbrook basketball players earn McDonald's All-American nominations

Millbrook basketball has become a powerhouse over the years and now the world is taking notice.
Three of their seniors were nominated to be McDonalds All-Americans.
"Seeing Michael Jordan, Shaquille O'neal and Kobe Bryant and all those guys and seeing that my guys name's would be etched in that," Millbrook boys basketball coach Chris Davis said. "If they make the game or not — I just think its a huge honor."
Sam Hood is a 6-foot-10 forward who has not picked a school yet but he is getting interest from NC State, UNC, Georgia, South Carolina and the list goes on.
"I would prefer to go in-state but I wouldn't mind going out of state and traveling," Hood said.
Nolan Dorsey is a 6-foot-6 guard whose taking his talents to New Mexico to play college ball.
"It's far away," said Dorsey. "But it's something that I have to do and something I'm excited about to take my game to the next level."
Last but not least, Jalen McCoy is a 6-foot-5 guard and small forward who has gained interest from Campbell, VMI and Queens.
The Wildcats have looked up to several players from North Carolina that earned a spot on the team.
"I would say Nassir Little," said Hood. "He was a guy that I liked watching when he was in high school and he went on to play at UNC and now he's in the NBA. He is a guy that I loved watching and I modeled my game after."
With a 17-1 record, these All-American nominees plan to lead Millbrook to its first state title.
"We're just blessed that we have a group of kids that come in and work really hard and try to continue the things the guys before them have done," Davis said.
Their personal goals are bigger than just moving on and excelling in college.
"You will see me in the NBA in the near future, for sure," said Dorsey.
