Three from Wake County compete on American Ninja Warrior

Three North Carolina residents will be competing on Monday night's episode of "American Ninja Warrior."

The show airs at 8 p.m. on WRAL. The episode will feature the eighth qualifying round in Los Angeles. Competitors take on a variety of obstacles designed to test their agility, strength and speed.

Local contestants to look out for Monday night include Isaiah Lee and Matt Kalanz, both of Holly Springs, and Kevin Tirado of Wake Forest.

Holly Springs is known for its Ninja Warrior talent. Last year, the Auer family from Holly Springs won "American Ninja Warrior: Family" and took home a $20,000 prize.

During last year's premiere episode of "American Ninja Warrior," a 15-year-old from Fuquay-Varina competed. Lilah Nathison was among the first to take advantage of the show's new lower age requirement.
