Thin Mints fans rejoice: New 'sister' cookie infused with raspberry announced for 2023 season
Research shows Thin Mints™ are the most popular Girl Scout Cookie – so fans may be excited to learn the organization has announced the release of a 'sister' cookie to the chocolatey, minty best-seller.
On Tuesday, the Girl Scouts of the USA announced the new addition to their 2023 Girl Scout Cookie Season. The cookie is described as thin and crispy, dipped in the same chocolate coating as Thin Mints™, but infused with sweet, tangy raspberry instead of refreshing mint.
They've named the new creation: Raspberry Rally.
"Raspberry Rally gives devoted Girl Scout Cookie lovers yet another reason to be excited for the upcoming cookie season," said Girl Scouts of the USA in a press release.
The sister cookie will also be used to help enhance the scouts' experience with e-commerce sales and technical entrepreneurial skills – a useful knowledge base for children to have as the future of sales shifts more towards the internet. Raspberry Rally is the first Girl Scout Cookie to be exclusively offered for online sale and direct shipment only.
"When Girl Scouts run their own cookie business, they are a part of the largest girl-led entrepreneurial program in the world. Girl Scouts learn leadership, problem-solving, and community building through the Girl Scout Cookie Program, resulting in an invaluable experience that cultivates an innovative, entrepreneurial spirit," said the press release.
The program embraces the understanding of the world of business, money management, and entrepreneurship. Cookie Business badges range anywhere from goal setting to learning effective in-person and online sales pitches, using market research, creating business plans, and implementing digital marketing campaigns.
Girl Scout Cookie season is recognized nationally from January through April, but local timing varies; visit the Girl Scouts of the USA website to sign up to be notified as soon as your local troop begins selling in your area.
