List: Best charity events in the Triangle
Giving back is important, rewarding and usually fun! There are some amazing charities in our area that use marathons and 5Ks, ballroom dances, festivals and more to give back to people and animals in need. Here are some of our favorites.
Blondes vs. Brunettes
Blondes vs. Brunettes is a volunteer-driven event that was established to raise both awareness and funds for the Alzheimer's Association. All-women teams engage in a flag football game to raise funds for disease research.

Walk for Hope
Each year, thousands of participants come together at the Angus Barn in Raleigh to show solidarity for family, friends, and community members living with a mental illness. Walk for Hope ends with food, games, music and prizes.

Upcoming dates: Oct. 14 at the Angus Barn
Band Together NC
Walk the Moon will headline Band Together's upcoming concert at Red Hat along with two opening artists. Band Together has raised more than $8 million for its nonprofit partners, which change every year, since 2001.
Charity: Triangle Family Services
Upcoming dates: June 23 at Red Hat Amphitheater
Bee Ball
Called a "prom for grown-ups," the Bee Ball is The Beehive Collective's largest fundraiser. This year's ball has already passed, with event funds going to fight food insecurity and hunger in the Triangle.

Great Futures Gala
The Great Futures Gala includes a VIP cocktail hour, dinner, live music, presentation of awards, a speech by the Youth of the year and a keynote speaker, with funds going to the Boys & Girls Club of Durham and Orange Counties
