On Monday night's episode of 'The Voice,' the knockout rounds continued and the remaining contestants went head-to-head to secure their spot in the live playoffs.

The night began with two powerful, young female vocalist from team Kelly. One of the youngest members of team Kelly, Chevel Shepard sang "Travelin Solider" by the Dixie Chicks. Her performance was in honor of her veteran brother.

Shepard's cover went up against Sarah Grace's rendition of "I'd Rather Go Blind," by Etta James.

And, despite their small sizes the two girls showed enormous talent. But Shepard's heartfelt tribute reigned supreme in this round.

Lucky for Grace, her journey is not over yet. Coach Kelly Clarkson saved her and she will continue on to the live playoffs.

Up next, were two singers from team Adam. Deandre Nico combined his soulful vocals and country interests to sing a strong cover of Hunter Haye's "Wanted.”

Nico went up against Jake Wells, who sang a rearranged version of "Yellow" by Coldplay. In this round, Wells was not able to hold up to Nico'stalent and was ultimately sent home.

The most dramatic and impressive match-up of the night was between two members of team Blake. Micheal Lee and Chris Kroeze performed in the last match-up and forced coach Blake Shelton to make a tough choice.

Lee sang a striking rendition of "Whipping Post" by The Allman Brothers, and Kroezesang an equally amazing rendition of "Burning House” by Cam. And the singers were literally on fire.

Deciding between the two singers was too hard for Shelton and he ended up making his decision based on a coin flip. Lee won the coin flip but Shelton used his save to keep Kroeze in the running.

To see who else will advance in the competition, tune in at 8 p.m. Thursday on WRAL-TV and NBC.
