In previous seasons the rivalry between coaches Blake Shelton and Adam Levine became an aspect of "The Voice" that was just as important as the hopeful contestants, but on Monday night's episode the fighting came to an end.

The first audition, a duo from New York, seemed to fill the room with love and motivated Levine to team up with Shelton. The duo, who called themselves OneUp, told a heart-warming story about falling in love and finding comfort in one another as gay men in an often-intolerant society.

They followed up their amazing story with an even better performance. The two sang "Could It Be I'm Falling in Love" by the Spinners and got three judges to turn. Coaches Jennifer Hudson, Blake Shelton and Kelly Clarkson all attempted to persuade OneUp to join their team. And even though Levine didn't turn for the duo, he also gave his input on what team they should join. According to Levine, Shelton is the only judge on the show who has had success with a duo and because of his experience OneUp should have picked team Blake.

The duo ultimately chose Team Kelly due to her empathetic response to their story. While OneUp's time may have been up on the blind audition stage, the love they shared seemed to stick with Levine as he continued to endorse Shelton throughout the night. While the bromance bloomed, the alliance between Hudson and Clarkson got a little rocky after Hudson used her only block of the season to ensure she got the sixth contestant of the night, a first generation Haitian immigrant from New York named Zaxai.

It was his first time on "The Voice" stage, but it was not his first time meeting Clarkson. He met her while working at the Radio City Music Hall in New York. According to his story, she was preforming and accidentally kicked him in the head. Clarkson felt both embarrassed and surprised after learning about the incident and finding out that she was blocked by Hudson. Fortunately, there were no hard feelings and Clarkson and Hudson's alliance (lovingly named K-HUD by fans) lives on.

Season 15 has been filled with contestants who have heart-warming or interesting back stories like Zaxai.

"Before any of these people are invited to sing for the coaches, there is a whole sifting process," said Senior Director of Affiliate Marketing and Special Projects for NBC Marty Frey. "We want to be invested."

The last contestant, Kirk Jay definitely caused both the judges and the viewers to become invested. Jay came from a rural and poor area of Alabama, he ended up being the most outstanding performance of the night. Jay sang "Bless the Broken Road" by Rascal Flatts and used his life experiences to emit an enormous amount of emotion. His heart-felt vocals caused a rare four-chair turn.

Jay said that he was "country music for life" and Hudson automatically backed down. Clarkson, however, became extremely excited and attempted to get Jay on her team. And despite turning his chair for the contestant, Levine ultimately attempted to persuade Jay to join Shelton's team.

“I want to see you on Blake’s team,” Levine said. This comment resulted in Shelton getting up from his chair and kissing Levine on the cheek in a memorable moment for the show.

Jay ended up taking Levine’s advice by choosing Team Blake.

Tune in tonight at 8 p.m. on WRAL-TV and NBC to see if the bromance between Levine and Shelton continues.
