On Monday night "The Voice" went live for the first time this season and viewers had the opportunity to vote on their favorite singers.

The two-hour Live Playoff premiere featured musical performances from all 24 remaining contestants.

Each performance was filled with vocal expertise and immaculate high notes. Coach Jennifer Hudson (JHUD) even felt compelled to throw her shoe in excitement at some of the impressive singers.

The night began with artists from team Blake Shelton followed by members of team Kelly Clarkson. Teams JHUD and Adam Levine closed out the show.

One of the first stand out performances from team Blake was vocalist, Natasia Greycloud. She sang a rendition of Ariana Grande's "God is a Woman" and added some new stylistic components. The singer even completed Grande's short rap verse with total confidence.

From team Kelly, one of the youngest members in the competition, Chevel Shepherd wowed the judges once again. She sang a cover of The Judd's "Grandpa (Tell Me About the Good Ol' Days)". The emotional performance granted her a standing ovation from all four coaches.

Mackenzie Thomas of team JHUD also impressed all of the judges.

The vocalist sang Whitney Houston's "I Believe in You and Me" and received one of JHUD's iconic shoe tosses of approval.

Team Adam also had some impressive performers. One of them was North Carolina native, Kameron Marlowe.

The singer sang a cover of Rodney Crowell’s "I A'int Living Long Like This" and let his strong vocals take the lead. His performance seemed to impress the judges as well as the audience.

Viewers across the nation will reveal their thoughts through the voting process that ended at 7 a.m. on Tuesday. The votes will determine the final 13 contestants that will be announced Tuesday night.

To see who will advance in the competition, tune in at 8 p.m. Tuesday on WRAL-TV and NBC.
