A new meetup in Raleigh is catering to working moms who can't join "mommy and me" groups on weekdays.

Registration is now open to join "The Flock," a series of groups that will meet from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. each Sunday in October at Little Doodles Play Cafe at 6548 Glenwood Avenue.

The meetup is a joint effort between The Nurtured Nest, which plans classes and play dates for parents and kids, and Little Doodles.

Each group will be limited to 10 adults to prevent the spread of COVID-19. Children who are walking up to age six and their moms can join.

The groups are created to connect grown-ups based on topic, not child’s age, according to The Nurtured Nest.

"Each week you will simply show up and allow our team to show you and your little a great time," the sign-up page explains. "We will have activities planned for mom and child as well as time for children to play under the supervision of our care team and for moms to connect with one another."

Featured speakers include a pediatric sleep consultant and a speech and feeding expert. There will also be mom-and-me crafts and activities, active play and picnic and restaurant outings.

Pricing for the four-week event begins at $99 and includes craft supplies, children’s snacks, admission to Little Doodles and childcare each week. The on-site cafe will be open, so no outside food and drink is allowed.
