Starbucks officially announced the release of its Unicorn Frappuccino this week, and guys, the drink is beautiful.

Coming from a girl who lives off black coffee, the crème-based pink, purple and blue drink is far from my norm. Topped with whipped cream, and sprinkled with pink and blue fairy powders, the drink looks magical, and it tasted pretty magical too.

I guess I may have had low expectations, but my first sip was pretty delicious. It was sweet and then a little sour. The blue swirl tasted a little like a blue raspberry Sour Patch Kids. As I went on, I continued to enjoy the sweet and sour mix.

I liked it enough to finish about a third of the frap before I brought it back to the newsroom for others to try.

There were a few 'yucks!' But a couple others thought it was pretty delicious too.

Would I get this again? Probably not. The Unicorn Frappuccino may be mythical looking, but it is packed full of sugar and a little too sweet for my taste.

The drink is available from April 19 to April 23 in the United States, Canada and Mexico, with a 12-ounce size containing 280 calories.
