Story time? You can now outsource bedtime stories to an astronaut

Of course, I'd never recommend missing out on the beautiful, cuddly moments that come when reading stories to little kids, but you can now tack on a few extra story time minutes with astronauts in the International Space Station.

Of course, I'd never recommend missing out on the beautiful, cuddly moments that come when reading stories to little kids, but you can now tack on a few extra story time minutes with astronauts in the International Space Station.

Through Story Time in Space, a project of the nonprofit Global Space Education Foundation, astronauts read STEM-themed children's books while they are actually in orbit. (STEM stands for science, technology, education and math).

The videos are are posted on the program's website and YouTube.

What's it look like? Check out some of the videos ...

Here's astronaut Kate Rubins reading "Rosie Revere, Engineer," by Andrea Beaty.

"Next Time You See a Sunset," by Emily Morgan and read by astronaut Mark T. Vande Hei.

"Max Goes to the Moon," by Jeffrey Bennett and read by astronaut Mike Hopkins.

"Notable Notebooks," by Jessica Fries-Gaither and read by astronaut Joseph Acaba.

There's more to come on the website, including experiments and activity guides! So stay tuned.
