Starting Monday, people who live in southern Wake County will have another option for medical care.

The Wake County Southern Regional Center in Fuquay-Varina will reopen in just a few hours.

If you live in southern Wake County, this could be a great resource for you and your family.

The clinic hasn’t been fully operational since before the pandemic. It's been closed to patients for more than a year.

The clinic will offer prenatal care, pediatric care and STD testing.

The director of the clinic, Richard Hayner, said they accept Medicaid and most insurances.

"The folks that we often capture kind of sometimes fall through the cracks," Hayner said. "The regional centers are put near historically marginalized populations and communities that might have barrier to get to services such as transportation."

Spanish-speaking staff is also available to patients to ensure language won’t be a barrier for care.
