Southern Pines police warn residents about new phone scam

Residents of Southern Pines are being warned about a new phone scam occurring in the area.

Scammers are contacting residents and claiming to be from "US Legal Support" with the Southern Pines Police Department (SPPD).

Residents are being asked to pay money over the phone to take care of a "warrant for their arrest." These calls are scams, and no money should be paid to these callers.
