Homeowners are diving into home improvement projects during the COVID-19 pandemic, making the Southern Ideal Home Show a hot ticket in Raleigh this weekend.

The show returns to the state fairgrounds nearly a year after its last iteration.

Vendors were setting up booths on Friday morning, preparing to showcase products ranging from garden supplies, flooring, patio furniture, window treatments and more. A food truck rally is also scheduled.

"People have been taking a good, hard, look around at their space and they're making improvements like never before," a spokesperson told WRAL.

The show runs from 10 a.m. until 8 p.m. on Friday and Saturday and 11 a.m. until 6 p.m. on Sunday. Tickets are $12 and kids under 12 can get in for free. The show requires face coverings and social distancing.
