Smithfield police seek help identifying suspect in homicide

A man was found dead in a Smithfield home on Thursday morning, and police asked for the public's help in identifying a suspect.

Police received a call shortly after 9:45 a.m. about something going on at a home at 1104 Forbes Drive. Once officers arrived, they found 39-year-old David Callejas Arroyo dead inside.

Details on a cause of death weren't released.

Police said they don't believe Arroyo's death was random, and they released a description of a man wanted in the case: dark-skinned Hispanic, approximately 5 foot 3 inches tall, weighing about 170 pounds with a “full scruffy beard." He was last seen wearing a black hat with red writing on it, a black windbreaker and blue jeans.
