Silver Alert issued for 73-year-old Durham man with dementia

The North Carolina Center for Missing Persons issued a Silver Alert on Wednesday for a missing 73-year-old man.

Authorities believe Willie Robert Davis has dementia or Alzheimer's.

Davis is bald and has a white beard, authorities said.

He was last seen wearing a green cap, an emerald green jacket, black jeans and black sneakers.

Davis was last seen Saturday at the VA Hospital in Fayetteville. Medical personnel treated and released Davis on Saturday from the hospital for his type 2 diabetes.

The North Carolina Center for Missing Persons said Davis is missing from a home on North Mangum Street near West Seeman Street.

Authorities believe Davis might be in Fayetteville to visit the VA Hospital for his hip and type 2 diabetes.

Anyone who knows of Davis’ whereabouts is asked to call Durham police at 919-257-9485.
