Police want to see what other photos are on accused peeper's phone

A registered sex offender faces charges of trying to take photographs up the skirt of a woman at a Wendell store, police said.

Timothy Glenn Garr, 31, of of 218 Griffin Drive in Wendell, is charged with felony secret peeping.

A 66-year-old woman reported to Wendell police officers last Wednesday that a man used his cellphone to take a picture up her dress at the Family Dollar store at 2839 Wendell Blvd. She said she was able to get the man's license plate number as he left the store and called police.

Garr was arrested Friday, and he remains in the Wake County jail without bond because the charge against him is a violation of his parole.

Wendell police said they plan to look at Garr's phone to determine if photos on file indicate any similar actions that could warrant additional charges.

Garr is on the North Carolina Sex Offender Registry following an April 2015 conviction for indecent liberties with a minor and felonious indecent exposure.

He also has a second indecent exposure conviction, as well as 20 convictions for breaking and entering dating to 2005, according to state Department of Public Safety records.
