SC officer suspended after 4-year-old son accidentally shoots himself in the head
According to an NBC affiliate station in Miami, the incident happened before 11 a.m. on Wednesday at a North Miami Beach home. They said Tidot's son shot himself in the head after getting a hold of his gun.
The Columbia Police Department (CPD) announced one of its officers is on investigatory suspension after being arrested in North Miami Beach.
Police said the officer, Peter Tidot, was arrested by the North Miami Beach Police Department after being accused of negligence following an incident involving his 4-year-old son and an improperly secured and loaded duty weapon assigned to him.
According to an NBC affiliate station in Miami, the incident happened before 11 a.m. on Wednesday at a North Miami Beach home. They said Tidot’s son shot himself in the head after getting a hold of his gun. His son was taken to the Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital, according to the station.
