One injured in accidental shooting at Newton Grove Trailer Park

The Sampson County Sheriff's Office is investigating an accidental shooting that occurred Saturday afternoon at a trailer park on Mount Olive Drive in Newton Grove.

One man was shot in the chest. The bullet entered from the left side and exited on the right, causing non-life-threatening injuries.

The victim was transported to the hospital.

The investigation is ongoing, and no charges have been filed at this time.
