Rocky Mount police arrested two men after a man was shot to death Saturday in the parking lot of a liquor store.

Saturday at 8:06 p.m., officers with the Rocky Mount Police Department responded to a shooting in the 1300 block of Westwood Drive.

When officers arrived, they found a man who had been shot. He died at the scene due to his injuries.

Police said an argument began inside the Nash County ABC Store at 1322 Westwood Drive. The argument escalated, and Marquis Farmer, 30, was shot in the parking lot.

Zyon Rasheem Betts, of Virginia, was arrested and charged with second-degree murder. Betts is being held at the Nash County Jail without bond.

Pierre Antoine Tucker, of Rocky Mount, was arrested and charged with felony accessory after the fact. Tucker is being held at the Nash County jail under a $250,000 secured bond.

The investigation is ongoing.
