Reward offered: Raleigh police seek help with two unsolved hit-and-run deaths
The Raleigh Police Department is offering a potential reward for information related to two unsolved hit-and-run fatalities that occurred on New Bern Avenue at South Raleigh Boulevard and in the 1900 block of Poole Road on separate occasions.
On Saturday evening at 7 p.m., members of the Crash Reconstruction Team will provide information to drivers in the 1900 block of Poole Road.
During this operation, officers will hand out flyers with additional information related to the cases to generate tips that will lead to the apprehension of the suspects. A reward is being offered for information leading to the arrest of the suspects in each case.
Two unsolved hit-and-run cases
On November 10 at approximately 4:13 a.m., Paul Lester was struck by a gray Dodge Charger as he crossed New Bern Avenue. The Dodge Charger fled the scene prior to police arrival. Mr. Lester died as a result of his injuries. Raleigh Police are seeking information on the gray Dodge Charger.
On December 16 at approximately 6:57 p.m., Donna Norman was crossing Poole Rd when she was struck by a white pickup truck. The truck fled the scene prior to police arrival. Ms. Norman was transported to a local hospital, where she died from her injuries sustained from the collision. Raleigh Police are seeking further information about the white pickup truck that has damage to the right headlight.
