Recipe: Apple Nachos

Who's ready for a fun snack that the kids will LOVE?!

So I LOVE apples, but candied apples can be so tough and hard to get through that by the time I get to the apple I’m over it! I’ve worked too much for my treat! Haha.

I wanted to make something that gave me the presentation, crunch, sweet flavor and ease of a fun snack I could make with the kiddos! Enter Apple Nachos! I usually am strictly a ‘Granny Smith’ type of gal, but this setup needed a little contrast with the Fall Season!

Things You’ll Need:

●    2 Granny Smith Apples

●    2 Honey Crisps Apples

●    Caramel Syrup

●    Chocolate Syrup

●    White Chocolate Chips

●    Milk Chocolate Chip (I only had Dark Chocolate Chip, which were good, but I prefer Milk Chocolate)

●    Coconut Flakes

●    Walnuts (Candied or not, that nutty crunchy is NICE!)

HERE WE GO! All items can be found at your local grocery store.

SETUP! I positioned the apples in a pattern, Green, Red, Green, Red, etc. I separated each ingredient, so the girls saw their options, and could taste to see what they wanted. They loved that part!

POUR! Then I drizzled both the Caramel and Chocolate Sauce on the apples! You don’t have to use the Chocolate Sauce, this way you can have a Caramel apple! YUM!

DECORATE! After the drizzle, I let the girl have at it and whew did the! Haha

EAT! Ziva being a dinosaur, pretending to eat them all!

MEMORIES! I really love creating with my girls. Sometimes I like to do things on my own, just for my sanity, but teaching them and creating memories and things like this is priceless to me!
