Market Pantry White Fudge Animal Cookies sold at Target have been recalled due to possible metal contamination.

The recall by D. F. Stauffer Biscuit Co., Inc. includes 44 oz Market Pantry White Fudge Animal Cookies that come in a clear plastic jug shaped like a bear.

"The recall was initiated when metal (wire) was found inside a portion of the cookies," according to the FDA recall notice.

The recall affects the following products which were distributed to Target stores nationwide:
