Heartwarming couple reunited on 'The Kelly Clarkson Show'

Video of a special airport reunion has gone viral, leading to a Raleigh woman and her boyfriend reuniting on "The Kelly Clarkson Show" on Wednesday.

Gabi Angelini, 22, is a budding entrepreneur and has her own coffee called Gabi’s Grounds.

Angelini has Down syndrome and advocates for others with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

She was at a conference last year selling her brew when she met Nick Doyle.

The two went their separate ways – Doyle lives in Ohio – but they started a long-distance relationship after Doyle tracked Angelini down on Facebook.

Being apart is hard, so their parents planned a surprise reunion in Ohio in August.

Doyle thought he was picking up a family friend at the airport. Angelini thought she was heading to a conference.

Doyle fell to his knees when he saw Angelini. Angelini dropped her bags to the ground, and the two ran to hug each other.

“When we see each other, it’s like we fall in love again,” Angelini said.

The video has gone viral, capturing the attention of the world and Clarkson.

Angelini went to Los Angeles last week to tape her segment.

The producers made the trip extra special.

“The biggest surprise is when they flew my boyfriend out for me,” Angelini said. "He brought me dozens of red roses and chocolate candy.”

Doyle also gave Angelini a promise ring.

You can watch their reunion at 11 a.m. Wednesday on WRAL.
