The Greater Raleigh Chamber of Commerce is having a special event this week to celebrate first responders and their contributions to the community.

From 7:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., Wednesday, Sept. 4, the general public is invited to explore a variety of first responder vehicles, including a helicopter, fire trucks, ambulances, a boat and more. All of them will be stationed outside the PNC Arena.

The event happens after a ticketed breakfast, but anybody can head out to the arena to check out the emergency vehicles on display. There is no charge to see them. During the event, there also will be information about fire prevention and other safety measures.

Sounds like it will be a fun day out for young children and kids who are homeschooled and on track out!
