Standard Beer + Food will open a second location in the North Hills Innovation District, Kane Realty Corporation announced Tuesday.

Standard's location will feature 5,600 square-feet of indoor dining and more than 15,000 square-feet of outdoor space.

“We are absolutely thrilled to have Standard join the North Hills Innovation District,” Kane Realty Corporation Managing Director of Operations Stacey Buescher said. “Local businesses are the backbone of thriving communities, and Standard's presence will undoubtedly infuse NHID with a vibrant energy."

Buescher praised Standard for its "commitment to sourcing locally and creating a unique beer and food experience." The restaurant has partnerships with Raleigh City Farms, Joyce Farms and Fox Farm & Forage to ensure local ingredients.

The restaurant opened its first location at 205 E. Franklin St. in Raleigh in 2020 and is owned by local entrepreneurs Cov DeRamus, John Holmes and Blake Thompson.

The space was previously known as Standard Foods and included a grocery section when it opened under previous ownership in 2015. After chef changes and temporary closures, it shut down permanently in 2018
