Police are looking for a man suspected in an armed robbery of a convenience store on Sunday in Hillsborough.
Officers have obtained warrants for Emanuel Whitted for robbery with a dangerous weapon, second-degree kidnapping and interfering with emergency communications. Whitted, who lives in Orange County, is believed to be armed and dangerous.
On Sunday around 5:30 p.m, Hillsborough officers responded to an armed robbery at the Circle K convenience store on S. Churton Street.
A cashier told police a man had come behind the store counter and pressed a gun against the cashier’s back. The man then forced the cashier into a restroom during the robbery. The suspect left the scene in a red Ford Taurus heading toward Oakdale Drive.
