A 6-month-old died after being attacked by a dog at his babysitter's home, police said.
Police said a 6-month-old died after being attacked by a dog at his babysitter’s home, NBC affiliate WCNC reported.
Salisbury police said the child’s babysitter left the baby in the living room while she made room for him in the backseat of her car.
The babysitter heard her mother scream and found the child, Jacari Long, being attacked by her dog, a boxer-pit bull mix, WCNC reported.
Long was airlifted to Winston-Salem and died of his injuries.
Rowan County Animal Control took control of the dog.
