Pet owners can get free and low-cost vaccines, pet supplies Sunday in Wake County
Wake County on Sunday will host a Community Pet Day where owners can get low-cost pet care and supplies.

Wake County on Sunday will host a Community Pet Day where dog and cat owners can get low-cost pet care and supplies. The event served almost 500 dogs and cats last year.
The event, held in Fuquay-Varina on March 5 between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m., will feature the following services:
- $5 rabies vaccines: 3-year and 1-year available
- $10 microchips
- No cost: HPP vaccine (dogs) protecting against distemper, hepatitis, canine flu and more
- No cost: FVRCP vaccine (cats) protecting against three cat diseases
Participants can also get information on affordable options for spay/neuter surgeries, where to find affordable pet food and supplies and basic health information for pet owners.
Pet owners should bring:
- Water for themselves and their pets, who may have to wait.
- Proof of prior rabies vaccination (vaccine certificate or paperwork).
- Cash. Only cash will be accepted for vaccines and other services.
The event will be held at the Southern Regional Center at 130 N. Judd Parkway NE in Fuquay-Varina.

- April 2, 2023, at Dorcas Ministries, 187 High House Road, Cary
