Person injured in hit-and-run in Johnston County

A person was injured in a hit-and-run early Saturday morning in Johnston County.

Around 2:30 a.m., police were dispatched to Massey Street in Smithfield.

One person was hit by a car. WRAL News is working to learn the extent of the victim's injuries.

The investigation is ongoing.
