Person crushed by tractor in rural Johnston County

A tractor fell on a person Thursday night, resulting in their death, the Johnston County Sheriff's Office confirmed.

WRAL News received reports of the accident before 9:15 p.m. Limited information was available, but the accident was believed to have taken place along Old Beulah Road, near Micro.

Sources told WRAL News the accident occurred off the roadway while people were working.
