Person attempts to rob Raleigh McDonald's; holds employees at gunpoint, tries to pull them through drive-thru window

A person held McDonald's employees at gunpoint Thursday night while attempting to rob the Raleigh restaurant.

The attempted robbery happened at the drive-thru at the McDonald's on Trawick Road.

A witness said the person pulled out a gun and attempted to pull employees through the drive-thru window.

The witness said her son was inside when the attempted robbery happened. When she went inside to help, she said the employees were hysterical.

Police have not confirmed if anyone was grabbed during the attempted robbery.

They said no one was hurt, and no money was taken.

The investigation is ongoing.
