Park rangers seek information on human-made fires at NC historic site

Park rangers said two small fires happened at the park's Freedom Trail on Sunday morning.

On Sunday, the National Park Service law enforcement asked for assistance identifying the people who caused two small fires at a historical site in North Carolina.

According to the Park Service, the two fires happened around 9:02 a.m. on Sunday adjacent to Fort Raleigh National Historic Site’s Freedom Trail.

The fires were less than a quarter of an acre, and authorities extinguished the fires without incident.
