Overturned dump truck closes part of NC 42 in Wake County

An overturned dump truck is causing backups in southern Wake County on Tuesday morning.

The truck overturned on N.C. Highway 42 at Barber Bridge Road after 8:30.

NC 42 is closed near Barber Bridge Rd. because of the crash and the closure could last several hours. The circumstances surrounding the crash are not known.
