One juvenile in custody, two suspects at large after chase ends in Wake County

A young person is in custody after a chase that went through Wake and Johnston counties.

State Highway Patrol said the chase started Wednesday on Interstate 40 near mile marker 306 when they caught a vehicle going 90 mph in a 65-mph zone. Troopers realized the vehicle was stolen and a chase ensued.

The chase continued until troopers performed a pit maneuver to stop the vehicle. Three people, including a juvenile, jumped from the car and ran.

The juvenile is in custody and will face felony charges, according to troopers.

After searching for more than an hour with the help of multiple law enforcement agencies and a helicopter, troopers said the two suspects are still at large.

No one was injured.
