Man shot in Knightdale, Wake Sheriff's office investigating
One man has been arrested and charged in connection to a shooting that sent a man to the hospital Thursday afternoon.
Deputies responded to a report of a shooting at approximately 5:17 p.m. in the 1600 block of Quiet Oaks Road near Knightdale.
When they arrived, they found a man suffering from a gunshot wound.
He was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The Wake County Sheriff’s Office has charged Alphonza King, 69, with assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury.
King and the victim knew each other.
The sheriff's office said there is no known threat to the community.
This is an active investigation.
