An investigation is underway in Harnett County after officials with the sheriff's office said two people were shot Wednesday night.
Officials said the shooting happened at 9:25 p.m. at a mobile home park at 35 Randall Lane in Lillington, a couple of miles from Campbell University. The school also sent out an alert to students Wednesday night.
Officials said they received a weapons call, which led them to the scene. Deputies could be seen going into and out of one mobile home as they collected evidence.
An EMS official on the scene told WRAL two people had been shot and were taken to the hospital. Their conditions were not available.
