Interested in a career in education? On Saturday, four area school districts are holding hiring events.

Wake County job fair

You don't need to have a teaching degree to attend the job fair. The Wake County Public School System is looking for people who have a bachelors degree and are interested in starting a teaching career.

Wake County needs to hire general education and special education teachers as well as teachers in math, science and elementary education. Registration is available but not needed.

Johnston County job fair

Johnston County Public Schools has a need to fill 150 jobs and will focus on hiring in special education, math and science teaching positions.

This year, the district is offering bonuses up to $4,000 that are split into monthly payments over time.

Durham County

Register online for this hiring event. Human resources, school principals and other department leaders will be available to answer questions. According to the website, there will also be information about competitive salaries, benefits package, available positions and how to apply online.

Orange County

Orange County Schools is hiring teachers at all grade levels and will focus on filling positions in math, science and English. OCS is also in need of media coordinators, CTE positions, EC teachers, support staff, bus drivers, custodians, maintenance, child nutrition, after school workers, substitute teachers and more.

OCS will offer a recruitment and retention bonus up to $10,000 for hard-to-fill positions and discount child care.
