New Lidl in Garner opened on Wed., June 14 with gift card giveaway, deals and samples

The new Lidl grocery store in Garner, NC had their Grand Opening on Wednesday, June 14 including a gift card giveaway, free samples, special deals and more!
The store is located at 2694 Timber Drive in Garner and will be Lidl’s 27th location in North Carolina.
Store hours are 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Sunday.
The company invested more than $6 million in the site, which is in the Garner Towne Square Shopping Center on Hwy 70.
This Lidl store will create more than 30 new jobs and starting pay for all store associates will be $16 per hour. In addition, "Lidl provides comprehensive benefits, including healthcare for all full-and-part-time positions, regardless of hours worked per week," according to the press release.
Grand Opening Events
Lidl will host a ribbon cutting ceremony including local leaders starting at 7:40 a.m. on Wednesday, June 14, 2023.
Following the ribbon cutting, the grand opening celebration will begin featuring "get-them-while-you-can special offers for customers," according to Lidl.
The first 100 customers in line before the store opens at 8:00 a.m. on June 14 "will receive a special gift card ranging from $5 to $100 each. Shoppers can also enter to win a $500 Lidl gift card, sample Lidl’s award-winning assortment, and take advantage of special giveaways," the company shared.
Open House on June 13
In addition to the Grand Opening events on June 14, community members are invited to celebrate the new store at an open house event on June 13 from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
At this event, which is open to the public, you can tour the new store, try product samples and learn more about the new Lidl location.
The store will not be open for purchases on June 13, but you'll be able to enjoy sampling and a goodie bag giveaway, while supplies last. The store team will be there to meet customers, as well.

Food Bank Donation
"Lidl is also proud to partner with the Food Bank of Central & Eastern North Carolina to provide food to community members in need. Throughout the entire grand opening weekend, Lidl will donate $1 to the food bank for every new myLidl member who signs up and sets Lidl Garner as their home store," the press release indicates.
