Crews worked Thursday at Carowinds to repair the Fury 325 rollercoaster.

Part of the coaster's column broke, but a new column got delivered to replace it.

WRAL News viewer Butch Bennett sent a video of the repair work by crews on Thursday afternoon.

The video shows the crane's harness holding things in place as the crews works. Carowinds said Wednesday after the ride is repaired, a series of tests will be conducted. It includes to make sure the ride runs for 500 cycles.

Plus, a third-party testing firm will do its own assessment.

The North Carolina Department of Labor has the final say on whether the Fury 325 ride becomes recertified for operation. As for how long that will take, Department Commissioner Josh Dobson said it'll take as long as it takes.

As of Thursday afternoon, Carowinds has not provided an update on when Fury 325 would reopen.

Bolliger & Mabillard (B&M), the ride manufacturer, began inspecting Fury 325 on July 1.

Jeremy Wagner, a Carowinds visitor, found the fracture in the Fury 325 rollercoaster on June 30.
