East Forsyth's Taylor Williams made history. So did every other girls wrestler in the inaugural N.C. High School Athletic Association girls wrestling state championships, which concluded Saturday at the Greensboro Coliseum.

Williams was the first of the first champions, winning at 165 pounds to start the final rounds, but all wrestlers were part of a landmark moment in NCHSAA history.

Lumberton won the team championship with a total of 77 points. They had three state placers, including one state champion.
