First look: In the air over Land of Oz

If you follow the yellow brick road to Beech Mountain, it will take you to the Autumn Oz Festival in Beech Mountain, North Carolina!

That’s right, just travel over the rainbow to find yourself in one of the world’s largest "Wonderful Wizard of Oz" events at the Land of Oz. No matter if you are a kid or an adult, there’s a land of fantasy and magic.

The Land of Oz was a theme park that operated between 1970-1980. It wasn’t until 1988 when a reunion of original park employees, known as the “Ozzies,” brought the park back to life with yearly re-openings known as the Autumn at Oz Festival.

It opens a few times each year, to take visitors along the yellow brick road to Oz.

Fans will travel into the Gale Kansas Farm through the tornado experience and down the yellow brick road to the Emerald City.
