Navy Week returns to Wilmington after 3 years

The U.S. Navy has announced that Navy Week will bring demonstrations, performances and events to Wilmington for the week of April 10 to 16.

The week will mark the fifth Navy Week of the calendar year and the second time Navy Week has visited Wilmington. Visitors will include senior navy leaders with ties to the local area, sailors serving on the submarine USS North Carolina (SSN 777) and the Navy Band Southeast.

Educational presentations on the ties between N.C. and the Navy and STEM, fitness demonstrations and a presentation on the importance of atmospheric and oceanographic science will also be held.
