National Guard helicopter makes emergency landing at RDU

A National Guard helicopter made an emergency landing at Raleigh-Durham International Airport Monday evening.

The airport sent out a statement after 9 p.m. stating the helicopter landed safely after experiencing some type of mechanical issue.

Officials said the landing did not affect airport operations.
