Nash County man charged with 10 counts of child sex exploitation

A Nash County man is charged with 10 counts of felony third-degree sexual exploitation of a minor.

Muad Ali Alshohatee, 31, of Rocky Mount was arrested Thursday after a month-long investigation by the Nash County Sheriff’s Office and the North Carolina State Bureau of Investigations.

His arrest came after a search warrant obtained by the Nash County Sheriff's Office led deputies to search electronic devices seized from Alshohatee's home.

Alshohatee was in custody at the Nash County Detention Center under a $300,000 secured bond.
