NASCAR driver Cody Ware arrested, charged with strangulation in North Carolina

NASCAR driver Cody Ware was arrested Monday in North Carolina.

The Iredell County Sheriff’s Office said Ware is charged with assault by strangulation inflicting serious injury, and assault on a female. He was issued a $3,000 bond after his arrest.

Rick Ware Racing said in a statement that Ware would not race over the weekend at Bristol Motor Speedway.
