Mystery solved: Lost military medals found at Fayetteville gas station, re-connected with owner

On Friday, a person found two boxes of valuable military medals in the parking lot of a gas station on Raeford Road in Fayetteville.

The medals were left near a gas pump, according to officials.

Police enlisted the media's help in spreading the word about the lost medals in hopes of finding the rightful owner.

By Saturday, thanks to the media and public's assistance, the owner was found.
