Multiple cars crash on I-540 near Six Forks Road

Multiple cars crashed Sunday morning on Interstate 540 East near Six Forks Road.

The crash happened on I-540 eastbound near Mile Marker 11.

The Raleigh Police Department confirmed that officers responded to the crash.

It was initially reported as an overturn crash with three cars involved, but RPD said there were only two vehicles that didn’t appear to be overturned.

Two adults were taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
