Here's what's scheduled ...

Lego Movie Party at NC Museum of Art

The NC Museum of Art will host a Movie Party with "The Lego Movie 2: The Second Part," on Friday, July 19.

The two-hour party begins when the gates open at 6 p.m. Costumes are encouraged and special activities will be planned, including lots of Lego building and dancing to a DJ. (Be ready for “Everything is Awesome!”). The movie starts at 8:30 p.m. You can bring your own picnic or buy something to eat.

Tickets are $8, but kids ages 6 and under are free. More information is on the museum's website.

Incredibles 2 Superhero Parade and Movie at Dix Park

And Dix Park will host a screening of "Incredibles 2" on Saturday, July 20. It's free. Seating and vendors open at 7 p.m. A children's superhero parade and costume contest (for kids 12 and under) is scheduled for 7:45 p.m. The movie starts at 8 p.m.
