Mother, 4-year-old boy killed in crash in Moore County
A mother and her 4-year-old son died Wednesday night in a deadly crash in Moore County.
A state trooper said the call came in at 9:28 p.m. The accident happened on N.C. Highway 690 at Lobelia Road and Morrison Bridge Road.
Two cars and four people were involved in the crash.
The state trooper said a mother and her 4-year-old boy were heading westbound when she crossed the center line and hit another car head-on.
The 4-year-old died at the scene. His mother was airlifted to the hospital where she later died.
The other driver in the second car was also airlifted to the hospital. A teenage passenger in the second car suffered minor injuries.
